Sill Anchor Plate (SAP) Bracket System

Engineered Strength for Masonry and Concrete Foundations.

We’re proud to unveil the newly renamed Sill Anchor Plate (SAP) bracket system—formerly known as the Sill Plate Bracket. This advanced anchoring solution is designed to reinforce sill plates on both solid and concrete block walls, offering structural stability where it’s needed most. They are required to retrofit existing homes that have limited or no existing anchor bolts.

The SAP system is available in two configurations:

  • SSAP (Single Sill Anchor Plate)
  • DSAP (Double Sill Anchor Plate)

SSAP Installation Guidelines:

For optimal performance, SSAP brackets should be installed evenly around the wall perimeter:

  • Maximum spacing: 5 feet on center (with optimal wall conditions and/or reinforcements)

These guidelines apply to both solid concrete and concrete block walls—provided SSAPs are secured to the solid web section of the blocks.

Why Consider DSAP?

While SSAP offers a Factor of Safety (FoS) of approximately 2, upgrading to DSAP can significantly reduce concrete stress—cutting it by about 50%—and may offer added reinforcement in high-stress areas.

Ensure your foundation is firmly anchored with the SAP bracket system—engineered for reliability and backed by data.
